Abby McClintock, MSW, LCSW-C, PMH-C, CCATP-CA

Welcome to McClintock Therapies! I am a licensed clinical social worker and owner of McClintock Therapies. I have worked in the mental health field for over a decade and specialize in working with adolescents, adults, and pre/postnatal women. Many clients I see are working through depression, anxiety, ADHD, stress, grief, and/or life transitions. I often see college aged youth, adults, women working through prenatal/postnatal issues, and golden agers.

While I am trained in several therapeutic modalities, I take an eclectic approach to therapy. My goal is to ensure the uniqueness of the individual is met with the right level of guidance and support. I am certified through PSI (Postpartum Support International) to treat all perinatal mood disorders and am passionate on providing the appropriate treatment to women suffering with these disorders.

Together we will look for solutions and build on strengths you already have in a compassionate, confidential, and safe environment.

Brittany wolfish, lcpc

Hello! My name is Brittany Wolfish. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and an approved Clinical Supervisor through the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists. I primarily work with ages 16 through 100 plus. Many of the clients I see are experiencing anxiety, stress, self-esteem issues, uncertainty about their future, and more.

I also enjoy working with individuals who are seeking a greater understanding of themselves through psychodynamic methods. I am trained in Adlerian psychotherapy, a psychodynamic approach emphasizing the importance of social relationships and the desire for security, significance, and belonging. I also use cognitive behavioral techniques as it gives my clients tangible tools to use at home. I understand therapy can look different for everyone, so I take the time to identify what will work best for each individual.  I often think outside of the box to find ways to connect creatively to my clients in a way that speaks to them.

I enjoy working with neurodivergent clients (ADHD, ASD, etc.) seeking to better understand their brain, and wanting to design a life that works for them. I help my clients harness their strengths and be mindful of their stressors. I take my client’s lead on what issues are most important to them and together we form a plan. I also assist in helping family members understand neurodivergence, as many of my clients tend to get diagnosed later in life.

Miriam kahn, msw, lcsw-c, licsw

Hello! My name is Miriam Kahn and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both MD and DC. I have experience working with folks of all ages and currently specialize in treating adolescents, young adults and adults. I have experience working in schools, agencies and private practice.

I often work with folks navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, life changes, grief and loss, and perinatal challenges. I am trained in cognitive behavioral techniques through a trauma-informed and values-based lens, however, I integrate a variety of expressive arts and mindfulness approaches in therapy sessions. I utilize humor and transparency with clients as I know vulnerability can be difficult in a new space. I see trust and rapport as the foundation to a strong therapeutic relationship and believe being invited to listen to others’ stories is an honor.

I am currently working toward my Certificate in Education in Animal Assisted Psychotherapy (CAAP) and feel passionate about the power the human-animal bond can offer in therapy. With the assistance of my dog, Tucker, I work to create a space that allows clients to access thoughts, feelings and strategies in a way that more traditional therapies may not offer.

My goal is to work together to identify a therapeutic approach that is unique to each individual’s strengths and growth areas. I believe people are more than a sum of their parts and enjoy supporting folks holistically in order to foster their innate strengths. I look forward to working together to achieve the growth and change you desire in a safe and supportive setting.

Hello! I have worked with children, teens, and adults for the past decade in school, agency, and private practice settings. Currently, I specialize in treating youth ages 14-18, college-aged young adults, and adult clients. Many of the clients I see are working through anxiety, trauma, depression, grief and loss, social and academic pressures, feelings of perfectionism, low self-esteem, issues with body image, sexual identity, and other major life transitions. My goal is to assist you or your teen with developing healthy coping skills and communication skills necessary for growth.

My expertise incorporates evidence-based treatments such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused (CBT), emotional freedom technique (EFT), positive psychology, and mindfulness techniques. However, I believe that each person requires a level of treatment that is tailored to his or her own experiences and learning style. Therapy is a journey, but I am dedicated to guiding you each step of the way.

The resilience, strength, courage, and hilarious wit of the clients I have worked with over the years continuously sparks my joy as a therapist. I am passionate about creating an environment for you or your teen that is safe, fun, open, and nurturing. Hello! I specialize in working with children, teens, and young adults. I have worked in schools, agencies, group homes, private homes, and private practice settings. My clients are often working through anxiety and depression, trauma, developmental disabilities such as ADHD and Autism, and changing family dynamics due to death, divorce, or adoption.

I am certified as an Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS) and have training in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and utilize Play Therapy, Mindfulness, and Art Therapy techniques. I view therapy as a place for you to be uniquely you. I aim to create a safe, inclusive environment where clients can explore challenges or concerns they have with curiosity and care. I am a firm believer that therapy is never “too late” and every person deserves support, understanding, and acceptance while on their growth journey.

rebecca baldassano, LGPC, LGPAT

Hello! I am a licensed graduate art therapist. I have several years of expertise teaching art in the school system. Creating a classroom environment that is open and welcoming to all. Where children could learn and explore parts of themselves through art. Now, I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and young adults in a therapeutic space. My clients are often working through anxiety, depression, trauma, transitions in life, self-esteem and just trying to navigate life.

I am trained in several different therapeutic modalities. My expertise is in using the creative process to explore thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Art making is used to assist clients with discovering, exploring, processing, communicating, and expressing themselves. One does not need to be an artist to engage in or benefit from art therapy. I also use Trauma Informed Cognitive Behavioral Theory, Positive Psychology, and Mindfulness strategies to best assist my clients. My hope is to meet clients where they are and utilize my combined expertise and experience to find a path forward together.

Therapy should be a welcoming, warm environment where someone is free to be themselves. My goal is to journey with others and serve them in finding their voice, so that they can live their life to the fullest. I would love to hear your story and to have the honor to walk with you as you find the strength you have inside.

Tucker, CGC

Tucker is a trained and certified Canine Good Citizen (CGC) by the American Kennel Club and is helping his Mom, Miriam, work toward her Certificate of Education in Animal Assisted Psychotherapy (CAAP). Tucker is a rescue animal, so he understands firsthand what anxiety, transition, and abandonment can feel like and easily connects with others who may have shared similar challenges.

Tucker participates in therapy sessions in a variety of ways from using a specific intervention to meet a therapeutic goal, to simply offering a calm and comforting presence in the room. He understands that therapy may look different for each individual and that the human-animal bond doesn’t require speaking or a more “traditional” approach in order to be therapeutic.

When Tucker isn’t working, he loves swimming in the river, napping in the sun and getting a good ‘ole ear scratch.
